# Upload and import files

Use screens from your app so people can see what it does. Clear screens with useful content work better than empty states.

## Upload files

Open your app and add files from the asset controls in the editor or asset library. Keep a clear order when selecting screens for a screenshot set or video.

| File | Supported formats | Maximum size |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Image | PNG, JPEG, WebP | 15 MB per file |
| Screen recording | MP4, MOV, WebM | 100 MB per file |

Upload limits and account storage limits are separate. Check account usage if an upload is refused.

## Import a public listing

If the app is already on the App Store, you can import its public icon, screenshots, description, and category. With MCP, use `import_from_app_store` with the numeric ID from the App Store URL.

A public import does not give Appfly permission to update your store listing. [App Store Connect](/publishing/app-store-connect) uses a separate connection.

## Before deleting an asset

Files may be used in a project or as the app icon. The MCP `delete_asset` tool refuses to delete an asset that is still in use. It permanently deletes eligible files, so check the asset first.
